Well, I'm officially freaking out! I have about 36 more days before I leave and I don't feel like I am prepared at all. I did make a bit of progress today however. I took today off. Still working on my taxes. lol thats right still working on them. I stopped at the customs office this morning to talk about taking my laptop and cameras with me, and I feel good about that. They also gave me a pamphlet of everything that I can bring back to Canada when I finally get back. I really hope Jeanette doesn't mind bringing an extra suitcase to bring back hoards of stuff for me. lol So. cool thing, Jeanette booked her flights already to come and visit me. YEAH! She is coming in September for about 10 days. Soooo excited. It will be awesome to see family again by that time I am sure.
I had my Italian class tonight again. Its going.... By that I mean, I can understand her when she talks to us, but I can't right it to save my life at this point. We have been taking grammar now for the last 4 classes and its tough. I asked for help tonight when we were working on an assignment. I couldn't figure out when to use what word. Lily's (my prof) response was (as an example), "How do you know What comes before the word are?". I said, "I just know". "Exactly!" she responded. basically what I learned was that I am screwed! lol Other than then grammar however, I am really enjoying my class. Lily is a great teacher. Very helpful with everything. I learned a couple of fun facts tonight. 1. you are never supposed to touch things when at the market or in any shopping store. you point and they help you get everything you need. They assume that if you are grabbing it yourself, you are trying steal it, so I will make sure to abide by that rule. 2. Water costs money everywhere you go (at least 4euros{$6}) but wine is free with all meals. lol I made the joke then that I could be drunk every day and she said, "thats why they have siesta's every afternoon for 3 hours." nice! 3. I leaned my first swear work in class. I bee asked by a few people if I had figured out how to swear yet and to be honest, I hadn't...until tonight. I was going to write it out but I am not 100% on the spelling so I will just tell you that its the fword and leave it at that. Isn't Lily great for teaching that as my first sear word?!? lol I thought so.
Well, 5:30 is coming to early tomorrow. My car needs to head into the shop for just a tune up (I hope)

Just a word of caution - wine is not free everywhere you go! Just make sure to check with the restaurant before you dive in :0)
