Upcoming trips...

My weekend was very uneventful but very fulfilling none the less. I was able to talk to 4 of the people I love on Skype this weekend for about an hour each. I spent the rest of the time watching movies, episodes of friends and just relaxing as I am trying to heal everything from my buggered up ankle to my sunburn. The cold is still hanging on, but really, I think I have talked that one to death already so I'll try not to mention it again. :)

Today after class I went out and explored another market that I hadn't been to before. I found the prettiest pashmina today. Its blue and brown and I couldn't resist. That and it was only 5euros! What a great find. I can't wait to wear it!

So, I finally was able to put my deposit down for my Great Britain/Southern Ireland trip today. I am soooooo excited. I leave Aug 27, which means that one month from today I will be in London already starting my trip. How crazy. I also am planning a trip for mid next week to the south of Italy. I have 4 days of travel on my eurorail pass to use up before the 18th of August and I want to make it worth my while, so I am heading south! I talked it over with Mario and he actually picked out the places that I should go. Because he is from the south of Italy and has been pretty much everywhere he pointed to the best 4 places and told me that I have to go there. I need to do a bit more research but my plan is to leave around Tuesday maybe and head straight for Sicily. A town called Taormina in Sicily is supposedly one the nicest places there so I think I am going there first. After that I am going to take the train to Lecce and I want to get to Bari as well as I heard from Lily (my Italian instructor back in Stoon) that it is very beautiful and definitely worth seeing. From there I want to take the train to Amalfi, Sorrento and then over to the island of Capri. I will then take the ferry to Naples and then back home. All in all I hope to be gone about a week or maybe a little more.

Can anyone suggest any other places that they have been to south of Florence that I should try to get to? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Temp High: 31
Gelato: n/a (its funny, I actually eat gelato on the days that I don't post so it looks like I am not eating any at all. Good trick huh?) :)
