UK Here I come!

I actually had a busy day today. I was up and out of the house by 8:30 this morning. I needed to mail a parcel back to Canada and it needed to be done before I left tomorrow so I went and did that first thing this morning. I then decided to stop for a cappuccino and pastry on my way home. Now this wouldn't normally be note worthy but what happened while I was in there is. It was about 8:45 by this point and I was sitting relaxing eating my breakfast and this guy, dressed in a suit came in and ordered a Vodka! lol at 8:45 in the morning. Now that is dedicated... either that or he really didn't like his job and needed a little pick me up. ;)

I was back at home starting to pack by 9am. I had my windows open still because it was still nice and cool out and a car drove by on the street. usually I can't hear cars driving by and usually don't pay attention but this one I had to listen to as he had his stereo cranked as loud as possibly and he was playing Truly, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden. I actually laughed out loud with that one. Its weird really, I have noticed how "fashion forward" Italians are with their clothing but when it comes to music they are really years behind us. So who cares if we are dorky in our clothes that were hip 3 years ago, at least we have cool tunes! "Rock On Dude!"

Yeah... the gelateria was open finally today. it couldn't have come on a better day. It was unbelievably hot again today.

I actually don't know if anyone responded to yesterdays post or not, but I decided to go ahead with the job even though I am not making a cent. I thought that taking pictures in exchange for cheap trips sounded cool and until I can get a real job then I will take advantage of this one. So I went down to the FlorenceforFun office and booked my first trip. I am going to Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany and couldn't be more excited! How fun. 3 nights, 3 days in Germany. I never thought I would go to Germany on my Italian adventure and now look at me? Crazy!

So here is my UK plan for anyone that is interested. I have gotten a few emails asking where all I am going on my trip so I figured I would just jot it down on here. In England - London, Oxford, York, Liverpool. In Scotland - Edinburgh, Laggan, Glasgow. In Ireland - Dublin, Galway, Killarney, Cork, Kilkenny. It sounds fun huh?

Well I really need to get to bed and finish last minute packing. My suitcase is sitting at 14.2kg right now and the most it can be in 15kg. This should be a good thing but I really wanted it to be a max of 12 so I could bring stuff back with me. Wish me luck. Also I need to mention that I won't be blogging until I get back. I am not taking my laptop and when I do have internet access I will be checking emails and such. Please email away though if you want to. I will respond when I can. I can't wait to come home and blog all about my trip. See you in 19 days!
