Aug 26 - Florence to London

Got up this morning at a reasonable time and was on the train heading to Pisa at 10:30am. Waited in line at the Pisa airport for about 2 hours before they opened up the check in gates (I have learned that this is normal for Ryanair) and then waited more to get through security. The planes are a decent size (a Boeing 737) and they squished many people in them. The planes are bare bones and you have to buy anything you want, including water. I guess this is why they can charge the cheap prices that they do. I was lucky though and had a seat where no one sat beside me...yeah!

Landed in London around 4:30 and headed out to find my coach. Found my bus no problem and hopped on. The ride was about an hour into the city. It was raining in London at the time, and the wind was strong which made it a little cool out (high teens) but all in all it was a pretty nice day. I even needed my jacket on which was kind of exciting as I haven't used a jacket in months! Hoped on the tube with the help from the tourist office guy. lol I went up to them to ask where I could get the correct line to take to my hotel and he offered to walk me there which I thought was great because he carried my suitcase down all the stairs as well. So far my opinion of England is holding true that people are friendly. lets hope it lasts. :)

Made it to my hotel about an hour after my Contiki meet and greet meeting so I missed out on that. I headed up to my room where I was sharing with an Australian and a Korean girl. Went back down to find some supper and was in bed by 10 because we had to meet at 6:45am the next morning.
