We've had a few busy days so far. We had a bit of a sleep in yesterday and caught the 10:30 train to Pisa. Arrived in Pisa around 12, had a quick bite to eat and then headed out to find the leaning tower. We only walked for about 20min or so and there she was leaning so proudly. It was really cool to see. Everyone I have talked to that has seen it is right, it really isn't as big as you would originally think. However even though it wasn't as big as we thought, it was still really cool to see. We took a bunch of pics, including the cheesy holding up the tower pics. :)
We then decided to just wander through the open market booths by the leaning tower. Around 4pm we headed back to the train station and ended up back in Florence by 6pm. Last night we just took it easy as we were both exhausted and ready for bed.
Today we slept in again and didn't leave the apartment until 11am. our first stop was the Uffizi museum. We were inside for about 2 hours. It was cool to see but both of us found that after about an hour the painting all kinda started looking the same. The only difference was that they were painted by different artists. We're both glad we went though. After that we made our way slowly to the Academia were the statue of David is. It was a much smaller museum and only took about 45min to go through.

After stopping at random shops along the way, we ended up at our stop, which was a wine tasting. I have been to this one before but I got to taste different wines than last time which was nice. There was only us and another couple there. There was great food and wine and great company. We all had a blast and Jeanette and I left a little more tipsy than we thought. ;)
No wonder you were thirsty...holding up the tower.
